About the Artist
If this is your first visit to my site, then you are most likely interested in my work. So let me give you a little look into my background. My name is Zachary Jackson Brown. I was born in Concord, North Carolina and have in recent years moved to Raleigh to work as the 3-Dimensional Art Teacher at Ligon Middle School. I am now currently working at JN Fries Middle School in Concord, NC. I studied Painting and Drawing at Barton College in Wilson, NC and earned my Bachelors of Science in Art Education. In my spare time I enjoy nothing more than painting portraits and drawing cartoon/comic characters. This all stems from the love of Batman that was instilled in me by my Grandfather from a very young age. Batman was my introduction to comics, cartoons, film and any other medium super heroes may occupy. I have been drawing since I was 4 or 5 years old and the first thing I ever drew was, you guessed it, Batman. My interests have changed very little since then, only my talent and skill have evolved. My dream is to one day work for Marvel or DC Comics and draw classic and new characters that will interest and inspire young, aspiring artists out there; as well as to entertain! I love creating new pieces and am up for any challenge a new commission may bring. Please look through my pages if you are interested in my work and wish to contact me, please send any requests to firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am now the Three-Dimensional Visual Art Teacher at JN Fries Magnet Middle School in Concord, NC. I have really enjoyed moving back to my home town and the opportunities it has brought me. I'm currently starting a new game with the students at my new school called Art Drop. At various times throughout the school year, I hide about 20 or so of my hand drawn sketch cards (Like my selfie sketch card to the left) around the school for any student to find and keep! I am hoping this continues to build interest and respect for art on campus. Above all else, it's fun!
